Finely decorated semi-circular discs made from beaten gold were an important emblem probably worn by the shaman priests during the Bronze Age. Although their shape seems to relate to the crescent moon, they more probably represent the sun as gold was intrinsically related to the solar deity. The National Museum displays many fine examples.
